yea thats what i was thinking but wanted to go into detail for a better explanation. i was thinking that by the persons choices throughout the offline portion that they would eventually end up with a certain classification or team (for example: official, civilian, undernet regular, [insert evil organization], with some levels of variations inbetween) but its still just an idea i wont actually do any thing with it until im probly done with my programming classes at school & maybe after ive tinkered with other smaller projects so that i can get it right the first time. although if somebody who already has the skill wanted to take this idea & make something out of it i wouldnt mind. if i did i wouldnt post this on the net. lolz :-p

I still think we need a Mega Man game that isn't more of the same. I know Capcom's school of sequel design is against innovation, but I really do think that a new gameplay twist would be nice. Since the DS and 3DS is out, maybe something a bit more centric around touch-control? Since the 3DS is in stores, and more people have them, a Mega Man game that's a bit more social could also work, such as being able to compare rankings against bosses and levels, and levels changing a bit depending on data you receive.

To be honest, though, I'd even want a remake of Star Force at this point...

Well, we were SUPPOSED to get Legends 3, which a lot of people were looking forward too, that was a step in a new direction..but as you can see that's no longer currently in the works.

:/

I'd settle for a new ZX game, so long as they went back to Vent and Aile, forget some other third group of main characters. I wouldn't mind another SF game if they went and actually worked on the game mech. a bit so it wasn't so much like BN.

Or...

They could make an actual legit Mega Man BN/SF Cross over. I don't mean like OSS I mean something never seen before were you don't have to beat roughly half the game to get to the extras.

...but that's just me.

im gonna be honest here & say that i really & i mean REALLY disliked lan & geo as the main characters. idk what it is but i think its the stupid way they act in every single cut scene its like they have no idea that this crazy suspicious looking stranger is causing any problems until 3 seconds b4 they are about to blow stuff up or kill people. am i the only one that thinks they could have made the main characters a bit smarter & made the bad guys more cunning & devious instead of "imma blow shiz up... u wanna stop me?!... aw shucks ya beat meh... guess ill just dissapear from the plot now" anybody else have an issue with the fact that lan is so trusting that would probly take candy from a creepy guy in a white van?... wait, i smell possible boss fight. lolz

^They probably want the heroes to be nice guys to fit the image of a hero, sadly nice people are often naive. : ( And the target audience are kids and thus they dont want kids playing the game feel dumb not recognizing the villains so they make things super obvious. I guess we older players should feel lucky Megaman is around who is at least smarter then Lan and a little more distrusting.

Anyways there are some good ideas posted here including yours deamonzozo. : D

My ideas? Well I dont have groundbreaking ones but here are some; I suppose some of you have seen the trailers for Pokémon X and Y? They turned the 2d overworld of Pokémon in a 3d one. How about a similar 3d overworld to explore for a game that falls between the BN and SF timelines? In this game world/timeline people use an more advanced Navigator (Navi) program. These Netnavis can level up in a Pokémon style way using Battle ExP when reaching certain amounts of levels your navi can change modes (read; evolve) changing his looks and enhancing his battle abilities. Off course the main characters Navi can reach one of the strongest modes; Hero Mode. It would also be cool if you can customize the Navi's weapon, element and color. And of course you can use weapons from beaten enemies by equipping them. Battles would be similar to the ones in Custom Robo Arena for the DS with a system that allows use of Battlechips in Midbattle. Anyways all the 3d stuff would make it great for the 3DS.

...Oopsies sorry for the long post! o.o Welp I'm off trying to draw out this idea of mine because now that I've wrote it down I feel the urge to do so.
