FAQs:
Q: Can I see the source code?
A: Sure! Press Alt+F4 …But in all seriousness, folks, you can’t have/see the source code to our game. We put in lots of hard work to our game, and seeing someone produce a clone of it without the hard work we went through is not something we want. If you want to make a Battle Network game, then we wish you the best of luck, but it must come from your own skills.
Q: I got black screen after MD Productions logo/Music is not bing played at all
WHAT NOW???
A:
So you get black screen after MD Productions logo or after the Title Screen? Seems your graphic card has problem with screensizes dividable by 8. There is however, a fix for that issue. Just download this EXE file
LINK, and swap it with the old one.
If you can hear SFX, but music is not being played, simply restart PC few times and/or install the
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.
Q: Who is making this game?
A: The admins of this site, as well as a couple of other people who aren't members. We are called Megadudes, and our names and jobs are posted on the main website under “The Plot” section.
Q: Can I use your materials, aka sprites, music, piece of code, etc. for my own purposes???
A: Forget it. See Answer #1 for details.
Q: How do I start the game?
A: You'll need a free application called WINRAR to extract the file (You can find this via Google, I’m sure). Once you installed it, go to the file, long right click, and extract from the popup menu. Once it's done, double click on the EXE file and it'll run.
Q: What do I do if I find a bug in the game?
A: First thing you don't do is go running to Max and complaining. He's one guy programming this entire game from scratch, so it's natural he may miss something. If you find a bug in the game, check the Bug Report thread on the forum. If this bug has already been submitted, you do nothing. Do not, I repeat, do NOT make another thread for your bug. It has been fixed. You wait until the next version of the demo is released and (hopefully) it will be fixed by then. If it has NOT been submitted, you reply to that topic with what errors the game is giving you. Be sure to be as detailed as possible.
Q: How do I get involved?
A: Several ways. If you want a job, you need to register on the forum, tell us what you want to do, and then give us a sample of your work. Be aware at the moment we have almost every job covered, except for Spriting.
Also, you can join the forum and contribute ideas for battle chips, virii, etc. Seeing people post on the forums helps to keep our motivation high, and that’s important for a game such as this. Optionally, you can help spread the word of our game by using the signature bars you can find on our forum, and hyperlink to our site using them. A tutorial on how to do this should be found in this thread:
http://www.mmbnchronox.com/forum/thread-...ml#pid5084
A third way you can get involved is contests. Every now and again, there will be forum contests which can be anything and everything. If you win... Well, who knows what will happen?
Everything released to the public is posted here. If it's not there... Well, you're just not meant to know about it.
Q: Will (insert Navi here) be in this game?
A: We have done our best to include as many popular Navis as possible, while making new Navis, and sticking to the plot from previous games.
Q: How is MegaMan going to transform in this game?
A: Using our new system, the Me.M.E.N.T.O. system. How does it work? Only time will tell.
Q: How many Me.M.E.N.T.O.s will be in this game?
A: We were thinking of having at least 5 mementos in our game. AT LEAST 5. There may be more.
Q: Is Raito / Patch going to appear in this game at all?
A: This game takes place one year after MMBN6. Patch is NOT alive at this time. Sooooooo, no.
Q: Will SF Mega Man / Ryuusei Rockman make an appearance?
A: *shrugs* Who knows?
Q: Who is the main enemy of the game?
A: Your main enemy is a group called Red Infinity; they're after the Z Parts.
Q: What are the Z Parts?
A: The Z Parts are a remainder of a beast once slain by our dynamic duo. But there's more to them than meets the eye, and their powers are quite mysterious to the Officials and Red Infinity.
Q: Will Dark Chips be coming back?
A: No.
Q: R LAN AND MAYL GUNNA DO IT LULZ
A: No. This game is going to be sticking to the "PG"-ish theme the series has been going with (though I won't deny MMBN2 and 3 were sometimes over the top in that respect) But we WILL say this: There will be an "advancement" in Mayl and Lan's relationship, and this game will have a slightly more mature plot than previous games.
Q: When is the next demo going to be out?
A: We can't really say that now since we don’t know that either. I'd say the fourth demo could be out before the end of 2012. That is just speculation.
Q: When is the full game coming out?
A: It’s hard for us to give an accurate estimation on that. There are far too many variables to consider. Best answer I can give is that it’ll get done. Continue to check the site for details.
Q: Can you tell me more about the story / can I see artwork?
A: Everything you're meant to know is on the website. However... If you ask any of us members on the team a question, we MAY give you an answer. But it will always be a riddle. You'll almost never find anything out really other than a headache. You're welcome to ask, though. We just usually won't say anything.
Read: No.
BUT WAIT. You guys are allowed to see... This! The MMBN Chrono X soundtrack, thanks to our composer, SoulRed!

Enjoy.
Q: Where can I go to collect more information about this game?

Q: What systems are you guys planning to port Chrono X to?
A: We are planning to port to devices with an android OS higher than v 2.2. Porting to the MAC is possible, but we will consider it after finishing the PC version.
Q: Can I use stuff from your guys' game?
A: All of the content of MMBN: Chrono X belongs to its ORIGINAL creator(s). Megaman, Battle Network, and everything created by Capcom belongs to Capcom and we claim no ownership, nor do we seek to gain profit from this game. Everything original such as characters, music, chip ideas, etc. belongs to the creator, and you need to ask permission of said creator before you can use it. For example, SoulRed's music. Unless you get WRITTEN, EXPLICIT permission from him, you MAY NOT USE HIS MUSIC, IN ANY CASE, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Also, if you join our forum, and post an idea in the chip section or something (not just mentioning it in the chat), you give us the right to use that idea. If you submit ANYTHING to us, you give us the right to use that idea. Please be wary of this when submitting things, and for the love of all that is good, do not submit something that isn't yours.
Q: Can I add one of you guys on MSN/ AIM?!? Be my friend on facebook!
A: You’re welcome to add the official account on Facebook, but as for adding individual members, then that’s tricky. Ask first before adding.
Q: Is this game going to be a free-ware or you plan to sell it somehow?
A: This game is FREE! We are making it only for fun, NOT for money. If someone is saying that they’re selling MMBN: Chrono X to you, then it is a scam. This game will forever be free.
Q:Isn't Lan supposed to study in DenCity after MMBN 6? Why is his school still at ACDC?
A: We decided that since we would only use that school for an entire cut-scene, we wouldn’t devote a lot of time into making the city containing the school and such. The school is literally relevant for one cut-scene in the beginning and that is it.
Q: The buttons you use are similar to those that are usually set in GBA emulators on PC. Does that mean this is a GBA ROM that I can run on an emulator? If this is correct, and you are planning to release this game on different consoles, are you going to release it like a ROM or stick it with an emulator like in your demos?
A: Nope, this game is NOT a rom and it is NOT using any emulator to work. It was programmed from scratch in GML and it is only a standalone Windows application. It doesn’t have any rom or emu data inside it because its data is the same as you would find in a normal PC game. The default buttons are the exact same as in a gba emulator because many people were used to those controls. We also work on a port for Android devices which gonna be released sometime in the far future.
Q: What kinds of things should I suggest in the ideas forums?
A: We are only looking for chip and virus ideas. Even then, make sure they are well thought out, viable, and useful/interesting. Go over the concept in your head and imagine if what you are planning to suggest was actually incorporated into the game, and if it doesn’t make total sense, don’t post it. We accept very few fan submissions, and when we do they are always extremely well put together. Drawing a picture or spriting an image of your virus/chip (or creating a picture of megaman using the chip or fighting the virus) definitely helps as well. Also, if it has anything to do with any of the following topics, please DO NOT post it because there is literally zero chance that we will accept it:
-Ideas for the story/plot
-Crossfusion
-Crossovers (e.g., “Sonic meets Megaman”)
-Bringing back styles/DublSoul/Crosses
-Ideas for new Navis to include (e.g., your own navi)
Will Bass/Forte be in this game?
A: Yes, he will be in the game.
Will my saved game file from Demo 3.2 transfer to Demo 4?
A: Unfortunately, no. Demo 3.2 was originally planned to be the final demo before public release. Hence, the save system was not built to incorporate future updates. It was only when the fans demanded a fourth demo that we decided to make one. But of course, this means you would have to start over from Chapter 1 in the fourth demo. Not to worry, there will be plenty of Chapter 1 polishes to add some spice to the experience.
BUT, saves from 4th demo will work with future releases.
