Chrono X Rules - Updated for clarity Sep 30, 2013

Any community must have some rules, or else madness ensues. Here’s a list of ours.

Avoid Spamming, going offtopic, flaming, inappropriate posting, necroposting, etc.
Basically, use common sense when posting. This is a place where children go, so even though this is the internet, do your best to be respectful and don't post anything someone's parents wouldn't want them seeing. That includes sexual content, racism, etc.

Similarly, respect the staff here by not posting spam (Stupid Pointless and/or Annoying Messages), going offtopic (leaving us to get the topic back on track), multi-posting (i.e., posting in a topic when you're the most recent poster--unless it's your idea or sprite/art/music topic and it's been at least 24 hours), flaming other users (even if they started it!), necroposting (posting in a topic after it's been dead for at least 2 months), or posting about illegal content (including but not limited to ROMs and software cracks). Also, make sure your signature follows these rules as well, and keep it underneath 300 pixels in height and don't let it stretch the width of the page.

Don't be devious.
First of all, DO NOT STEAL. This is a BIG deal. We're a community of creators and so we don't like people who steal others' work. Once again, be respectful and just ask for permission. It's really not that hard. If you can't do that, then just create your own resources and use those. This includes but is not limited to graphics, music, sound effects, character designs, and bits of story.

Second, don't create multiple accounts, especially if your goal is to impersonate someone or pretend you're two people (e.g., to post positive feedback on your own ideas). If you lose access to your first account, utilize the "forgot your password" link on the forums login page or contact a staff member on the website chat for help.

Don't harass the staff.
Unfortunately, we are busy so we can't make resources for you (ask the community for help instead), or answer all your questions, especially if they are covered by the FAQ page. Be sure to read that FAQ page to see if your question is answered there. If you don't want to read the whole thing, just search for your question using control+F. Also, don't ask to be a staff member, and don't just ask to be part of the team either. If you want to join, you need to submit an application for an OPEN position through the contact form on the main website. Generally our open positions are limited to spriters. If you apply, be sure to include examples of your work. Finally, leave the forum moderation to the moderation team. If you see something that breaks a rule, please just use the report button which draws our attention to it rather than taking matters into your own hands. Leave the rule recitation to the moderators. They may not say what you think they say or the staff may want to handle it differently than you do.

Follow the rules in the pinned topics of each forum BEFORE posting.
This is self explanatory. Each forum with specific rules will generally have a pinned topic explaining those rules. If you're posting in a subforum, be sure to check the parent forum for an overarching rules topic, too.

The staff reserves the right to supplement or amend these rules and to take action it deems appropriate to enforce them.
